You can get any of the knobs in Unfinished, hardwood maple. What the manufacturer recommends for finishing:
We recommend customer uses any kind of clear
topcoat to protect knobs after staining. Look for products labeled "Varnish",
"Lacquer" or "Clear Top Coat". Either spray or brush products are
acceptable. They should be readily available at a paint or hardware store.
Check the packaging for stain compatibility. Any good hardware or paint store
can give advice.
Be sure knobs are completely dry before adding
decorative metal inserts. Inserts are designed to fit securely in center of
wood knobs. Simply push down firmly to insert. (Customer may use a soft
cloth and gentle tap with rubber mallet to get insert flush with the wood.)
